T.A.L. (Tagged Again Lah!)

Got tagged again, and this time was by my fellow blogger Cooking Ninja (love that name!) on 7 random things about me, and I quite a laugh when I read that! What in the world would I write about? With little toddlers running and screaming at me all day long, I really have to sit down and think on that. If only for a second! Here's what I can come up with in short notice for this tagging season...

1. I am a Horse person and I love Clydesedales. No, I don't eat them, just admire them! My girlfriend has a couple of Clydesdales, and I love to go visit.

2. Eating out on weekends. I always eat out on weekends. We used to try different new restaurants and bistros, and now we search for great burgers and kids-friendly places!

3. I once sat down and ate 2 pints of different flavored Ben and Jerry's ice-cream in a night. It wasn't pretty!

4. I didn't learn how to cook till I was married, and had learned a lot from books and family and friends.

5. I love almost all fruits, but I still don't like the taste of durians even after several attempts to get near this tropical fruit, usually by way of friends insisting that I try this spikey-looking fruit. I can't stand them. Sorry to all durian lovers out there!

6. I have yet to meet a mango I didn't like.

7. I love Oslo. Loved the people, the long days in summer and the beautiful sculptures done by Gustav Vigeland in the park named after him. Can't wait to return to Oslo for another visit!

Don't like durian? How can? :P
For someone who never cooked until you got married, you have done very, very well. You are now a great CHEF!

Hi Judy!
I know, isn't that silly of me? Thanks for your kind words, but I still have to a lot to learn from masters like you!

Oh good...I'm not the only one in the world who eats 2 pints of Ben & Jerry in a single swoop!

You don't like durians?? You and Argus can form the anti-durian club ;-)

Oooo - and I can relate to eating 2 pings of ice cream in a night!
;-)

Can one eat horse meat? I read that there is horse sushi served in Malaysia.

Hi Wokandspoon!
Yes, your Argus and I will form a Spouse-of-durian-lovers-support group! And you can join me in the 2-pints or more ice cream in one sitting club! :)

Hi Lee Ping,
I hear that horse meat is very popular in Japan too. For me, I'll stick to my beef, chicken seafood, and lamb.

I have a phobia of durian, wouldn't go near anyone eating it. And I used to live near durian street in S'pore (Upp Serangoon Rd)...

And I used to eat up a pint or 2 of Haagen Daz Strawberries and Cream ice cream in a sitting, the only thing stopping me now is that I haven't found any here in Italy yet.

Not into mangos at all though, I know that I'm a weird asian.

Hi Beau lotus,
I used to live in Upper Serangoon too! We should have started an anti-durain and crazy-about-ice-cream club there! And I promise not to bring any mango flavored ones! hehe!
Thanks for visiting my blog! :)
